Finley has not sung often in Ottawa in recent years. When he performs Mozart arias with the National Arts Centre Orchestra under conductor Pinchas Zukerman Sept. 20-21, it will be his first performance with the orchestra in five years. In connection with that performance, the National Capital Opera Society will host a fundraising reception with Finley to raise money for the Brian Law Opera Scholarship. Law was music director at St. Matthew's when Finley started singing as a boy, and Law encouraged and nurtured Finley's talent.
